Product of the Week
Here is a little item that I love to use. It is a water brush. This little gem has a paintbrush tip that dispenses the water held in the brush. Instead of using a paint brush to blend your watercolors or chalks you can use this brush. I also use it to wet the edges of my mulberry paper for easy tearing. This little brush is a life saver. You don't have to keep a little cup of water on your table to dip your paint brush any more. All the water is contained in the handle of the brush. Simply unscrew it fill it up and it's ready to go. Put the tip back on for storage when your done and keep all the water inside for the next use. This brush does not leak so no spills on your table or in places you don't want water to be. Keep those papers safe and dry.
Try one! I love mine!

My blog:
Blogging:
I have searched & surfed & hmmed & hawed and finally decided it was time to start my own blog. So here I am sitting here staring at a blank screen. Hmmm…. What should I write about? What should I say? It is so hard to get started. Should I start with a Welcome or Hello? Do I advertise my sites? Do I tell a story, a joke or some pearl of wisdom? Oh just so much to consider. Let me walk away and think.
Back again and still a blank screen. Maybe if I walk away again it will change on its own.
Back again. Nope! That didn’t work!! My blog fairy didn’t come.
Note to Self: Fire the blog Fairy when I see her.
Well now what? Maybe call my Mom she is always helpful in reading and proofing my items. Off to make a phone call.
Back again. I struck out again. I called Mom but Dad answered and said she was off to a Dr. appointment and then shopping. That could be an all day thing so I better come up with something else. I know maybe if I go sit in my craft room and craft it will inspire me to write. Off to look for inspiration.
Back again. Well that didn’t work either but I got some more items made. See…..

Wow this has been a lot harder than I thought. I have been at this blog thing all day long and I still don’t know where to start. Maybe if I go talk to my husband he can give me a starting point.
Back again. He wasn’t much help. Instead of 1 starting point he gave me 8 along with a very detailed tour of the administrative side of this blog. Now I not only have to write the first entry but decide if I need administrative people to help, want it to be subscribed to or not or want advertising from Google. Oh my! This is just too much. I think I need some chocolate.
Back again. Well I am a little more relaxed, after a Snickers bar and a dip in the pool with my son and husband I feel a little less stressed. But here we are again with that blank screen. Hold on a minute my son is here maybe he can help…HA HA
Go figure….. It takes a child to point out the obvious.
When he asked me “Mommy what are you doing?” I replied “trying to think of something to write in my blog to fill my blank screen.” Then he asked “what blank screen Mommy?” and as he says to me “Mommy the light went on and I get it.”
My light just went on! I have started my blog. This was my story of starting a blog and how hard it was and in the end how easy it really was. I have a saying that sits in front of me every time I sit down at my craft table.
Never be afraid to try,
Remember
Amateurs built the Ark
Professionals built the Titanic
And so I have tried. Here is my blog. I hope I have given you a little encouragement to try something yourself.
